FAQ

How can I watch films in Russian at a cinema abroad?

Buy a ticket for a regular screening and open Dubseat. The app listens to the film and plays the Russian dub in your headphones, in sync with the screen.

Does it work with locally dubbed screenings?

Yes. Dubseat works at any screening, whether it’s in the original language or dubbed locally.

Is this live translation?

No. You hear the film’s existing Russian dub, and the app keeps it in sync with the picture.

Do I need to ask the cinema to set anything up?

No. Nothing changes at the cinema, and only you hear the dub.

Which films will be available?

New releases that have a Russian dub. We’ll send the list to everyone on the waitlist.

How much will it cost?

We’ll share pricing when access opens in your city.

Is there an Android version?

Dubseat runs on iPhone for now. Join the waitlist and we’ll let you know when the Android version is ready.

Which headphones work?

Any, wired or wireless. The mic on your headphones listens to the cinema. If they don’t have one, your phone’s mic does.

Dubseat isn’t in my city yet. Should I still sign up?

Yes. Cities with the most sign-ups get access first.
